Screenwriters are used to writing for actors. Comic writers will see their words on the page. And the game writer? The game writer can do both… This talk is a gentle reminder that written and spoken languages are different. That you’ll have to change your perspective when you switch from one way of writing to the other. And that language will be understood differently when read vs when spoken.

Jedidjah Julia Noomen, Independent

Jedidjah Julia Noomen is a writer and narrative designer. After starting her career in film, TV and theatre, she moved into games and wrote mobile games such as Heart’s Medicine: Doctor’s Oath, Criminal Minds, the mobile game and recently Alt-Frequencies, which is fully audio-based. Next to this she also develops immersive theatre and projects that combine live locations and gameplay elements, and is public space curator for the Imagine Filmfestival.
